Getting “Access Denied” in Windows 10 while trying to reconnect to my drive that I use on my NAS DS718+ for my server, ever since I updated Version 1.15.2.793 this has been happening it’s asking for my Network Credentials, I put in the CORRECT password & I’m still getting access denied, it’s very annoying. Please help! I ended up disconnecting my drive to try & reconnect but then…ACCESS DENIED while I put in my correct password.
EDIT:
Also when I try to map my network drive again, when the network credentials log in pops up, it’s already saying “the username or password is incorrect”…
Thanks Chuck, I got that problem out of the way but now I’m dealing with a new issue. Very similar to this one.
So at first I could not connect via my Network Devices on my PC then I figured that problem out but once I did connect, that’s when everything went downhill & when I went to open up Plex via my NAS like I usually do when I restart or turn on my PC, my server was unavailable & it was forcing me to create a new one. The weird part is, all my media isn’t deleting or anything because on my PC it shows the drives being used like before, I just cant access them in Plex.
Well my server is unavailable but I can still see all my media via file station on my NAS so yeah, that’s what I’m dealing with now. I’m guessing I have to add my media all over again?
Appreciate it Chuck, every time I try to get this to work, I just keep getting more & more bad results, I now don’t have a server. Getting a message saying “no soup for you”, I was ready to start over from scratch but now this. LOL, ah the stress.
My suggestion is to first get the external drive mapped properly.
Without it, you won’t have access to that media
Next, map the synology media drives
Now, with all media available, Install Plex fresh
point it at one library at a time and let it build.
When building is complete, add the next. Repeat until done
There is no need for a new account. When you install fresh, a new server instance will be created.
Give it a Friendly name which is different so you can easily identify it.
Once all is configured, you can then delete the old server from Settings - Devices - Servers
