Plex Duplicates on Android TV Home Screen "Play Next"

Since the Android TV updated to the new home screen/discover view was pushed to Shield TVs, the “Play Next” section on the home screen is almost always full of duplicates (2 each) of every item from Plex. Opening Plex and then closing it will usually resolve within a few seconds, but it’s still an aggravation.

This has been a problem for a long time. Can a Plex dev please acknowledge if this is being worked on or what is going on here? It’s a very easy issue to reproduce.
