Android TV Oreo's "Play Next" functionality not working for all users

The play next feature on Android TV Oreo doesn’t work for all users. In fact, it only appears for one of my home users and not even my account, the admin one.

As soon as I log into the one that it works for, I can push the home button on my remote and it immediately shows the play next bar with everything on that user’s On Deck. When I change to my account, the admin, it disappears and doesn’t show up again.

This is a Sony Android TV.

I also don’t have anything else to show in the play next, so the bar disappears completely rather than just Plex content disappearing.

Has anyone seen this issue and been able to fix it? I tried clearing the app data and it didn’t work.

I’m not really sure what you are calling the “Play Next Bar”

I believe they’re referring to the Play Next channel on the Android TV home screen, which shows content from different apps including Plex:

That’s correct. I suppose no one has this issue too?

Other folks are having issues with the Plex Channel as well which is probably related. Probably better to follow that topic since more folks in it.

You don’t have to use other topic. They are both Android TV though.
