Plex DVR: All shows distorted after a minute or two

With every show I’ve recorded via Plex DVR, my files playback fine for a minute or two, then they become completely distorted. I’ve searched around about this issue and most people seem to say that disabling the “Convert Video While Recording” option solves their problem. No such luck for me. I’ve disabled this feature on my plex server and my experience with new recordings remains the same. Here’s a breakdown of my setup:

Video Source: OTA Antenna (signal stength is quite clear) Tuner Box: HDHomeRun Connect (connected via CAT 6 to router) Plex Server: Synology DS1512+ Plex Clients: Plex Media Player for Windows and iOS Plex app.

Everything except the iOS devices are connected via Cat 6 ethernet to the network. All other files play great, even lossless Bluray rips, so I don’t think it’s a bandwidth issue. I’ve also tried rebooting the HDHomeRun Connect, the Synology and the HTPC to see if would commit the change to the HDHomeRun’s transcoding setting somehow.

Thanks for any help.

For what’s it’s worth, I downloaded the HDHomeRun software for Windows, which for some reason, has more features compared to the version from the Windows 10 app store. The software automatically updated the firmware of my HDHomeRun Connect and I’m able to view channel streams without issue via the HDHomeRun app. Recordings via Plex DVR are still distorting after a minute or two though.

I am also having this issue, although I am using the WinTV-QuadHD tuner(s). Live TV is perfectly fine, but Recorded TV works fine for only 2 min 45 sec before stuttering, video speed-up/slow-down, etc…basically unviewable. I am running version 1.7.3.3937 of Plex on a Lenovo ThinkStation S30 with a Xeon processor and 32 GB RAM (i.e. should be plenty hefty to handle the load).
