So I started using plex DVR for broadcast shows. After they record I re-encode them and move them to a different drive and a different library from where DVR records and shows the recording. It’s now deleting shows out of the second library 1 week after they get marked as viewed. What is going on???
DVR initially sets the show recording options for keeping episodes and deleting episodes. The Show settings are across libraries from what I have seen. You will need to change the settings for the show, not the settings for the DVR. Other users have run into the same issue of Plex removing recordings in other libraries. You will need to edit the show settings in one of the libraries to not delete episodes and keep all episodes.
Forgot to say that the show recording schedule had already been deleted, didn’t exist anymore, which is why I posted. I have another dozen shows that delete/don’t delete properly but they don’t match existing shows in the proper tv show library either. Is there a bug/feature request thread?
I recovered the files, yeah snapraid lol, then went and found the show and created a new recording schedule. Once done I did the highlighted changes, saved, and re-deleted the schedule. Will have to wait another week to see if it works, but yeah.

Just checked again and the server has once again moved my shows to the trashcan. How do I stop this?
Did you change the show settings? Will probably need a set of logs from recently after the recordings finished.
That’s the thing, I had deleted the show recording schedule like 2 weeks ago. I then added it back today/yesterday just to save it saying NOT to delete, then deleted it again. Existing shows still were deleted. What do I need to enable to get the logs?
What you are describing is the recording settings. Did you go to the Library, click on the show, and edit the show settings. Screenshot I provided was of the show settings in the library, not recording settings.
Logs can be obtained by going to: Settings/Server/Help and clicking the download logs link. Upload zip file. Logs must be downloaded shortly after a recording would have happened to ensure the recording/deletion is captured.
OK, now I feel down silly. Did not realize that was duplicated in the library also. It was listed to delete shows after watching. I assume that matching to shows inherit that delete status for some reason?
