Plex DVR Disabling Channels After PMS Update

The problem started happening after I updated PMS for Windows this week. I’ve deleted the DVR, created a new one and scanned for channels. Plex identifies all of my channels at that point and is able to play them, but disables almost all of them once the EPG download is complete. I’m at a loss and any feedback would be appreciated.

Same issue. Running on a Mac with latest release from this morning and a HDHomerun Extend. I have to delete DVR and re-add it to get it to work and watch live tv. However, if I leave the session and come back, it no workie and I have to do it all over again. Tested and confirmed the issue is replicable on web and Shield. Lately the LiveTV support has been progressively getting worse. End up watching more live tv through VLC and the Channels app on the Shield lately.

@keviniacono Do you have any other tuners on your network? Including any that spoof tuners like DizqueTV or xTeve?

Yes, I am using disque tv with Channels DVR. I wouldn’t have thought that could cause a problem with Plex since I haven’t tried to use them together.

Thanks for the reply. I am wondering if the spoof tuners are knocking channels off of Plex’s Live TV. Guess only way to test is to turn off the spoof tuners and see if it gets knocked out. Thanks for the info. I’ll post back in a few after testing.

Been running without DizqueTV all day and still have access to my HDHomeRun in Plex. I’ll test with DizqueTV tomorrow to see if that’s what maybe causing it. Are you running on a Mac?

I think it’s DizqueTV that’s causing it. Gonna see if xTeve does the same.

FWIW, I am running DizqueTV on a different machine then my Plex server, so there is something broadcasting on the network that is knocking my Plex server’s channels to disabled.

In DisqueTV, under the Plex Tab.

  1. Select your server that has the HDHomerun DVR associated.
  2. uncheck Send Guide Updates
  3. uncheck Send Channel Updates
