Yeah, a sample and some logs would be super useful if you see it happen again
I have logs from my last experience posted above. Will attempt a sample upon next occurrence with logs included.
To add⦠I have two HDHomeRun Extends if that helps. Not sure if the issue is localized or widespread. Other posts seem to be popping up with related garblings.
New to posting logs and samples. not sure which log to post. sample of the video too large to post. Willing to help with this issue but need a little coaching.
Do not waste your time, I have posted logs for different problems, they never get looked at and the problems never get fixed. This will just add to the long list of broken features that people actually want to use but will not work, but you have NEWS to watch!
Iāve been noticing the same issue. Iāve used the DVR feature for several months without issue but noticed the issue start after the update that added the skipping commercials feature. I did enable skipping commercials and it does seem fine when recording shows that arenāt back-to-back on the same stations.
Today alone I had recordings of Shark Tank back-to-back and Lethal Weapon/Brooklyn Nine-Nine and in both cases the latter recording had issues with the video and audio being out of sync. Iām attaching a log that includes the Brooklyn Nine-Nine recording data.
Yeah - Iām experiencing the same problem too - just dropped back to the version before the commercial cutting (4460) and weāll see how it goes for a few days - this is a sucky issue.
Thursday night, which has historically been my most difficult DVR night performed flawlessly tonight. All back to back shows recorded fine, but to note, there were no one hour airings.
I think I found the issue. It is not the Commercial skip feature. It is the new version of Plex. When you record a 2nd recording on the same channel it glitches at 30 minutes into the show. Also if you try to do 3 shows in a row on the same channel it prevents the 3rd show from recording. I am sorry but Windows Media Center as old as it is works beautifully. NextPVR has an issue with activating the 3rd tuner for 3 recordings at the same time but does not glitches. I am going to install the old version and test since I found where to prevent the auto update.
I just finished trying to duplicate recordings on 1.9.7.4460. Granted these are not the shows I watch but running back to back recordings of 1 hour each on the same channel. One with one tuner and again with 2 channels and 2 tuners active. No glitches at all. Perfect recordings. I would suggest that you try going back and see if you get good recordings. I will see how it runs when my shows come back in January. But so far it appears Plex broke it with the update for commercial skip.
Had four back to back half hour shows on the same channel and got nailed with the 2 second glitch. Apparently they know about that one and are working on it. Hoping my mega glitch is just a horrible variant of that one.
Youāre right though⦠this started with one of the recent updates. I thought it was comskip related since it seemed to show up when that feature did.

Yeah, theres a log like 8 comments above you :o
Iāve also been having this issue. Iām NOT using the Comskip feature and MOST of the time (only on a very rare occasion) I donāt see any issues with the video. But the audio skips (the best way I can describe it) every 3 seconds or so.
Local station plays old Big Bang Theory. 4 episodes back to back. I have set to start 1 min early and end 1 minute late. No ad removal.
Last week the first 2 recorded fine. The third episode started to skip with about a minute to go. And the last skipped all the way through
May have something to do with recording two shows at one time but since ad removal was off it does not seem to be a comskip problem.
where can i get an 1.9.7.4460. pms version for synology x64
yea this all sounds very familiar, happening to me too with Family Guy using synology ds416 play and apple TV. I have turned off commercial stripping till this is resolved.
i rolled back to 1.9.7.4460 all recordings are working fine again done several test all was fine
how did you downgrade? i have 1.9.7 but Synology wonāt let me downgrade?

uninstall then install the version you want i didnt lose librarys or recording schedule
I finally had time to trim a sample. I trimmed it and reduced it. You will still see the audio/video issue present in this snippet.
This recording was the first of four back to back episodes of the same show on the same channel. The subsequent recordings are flawless.
The video is still rolling the opening credits, while the audio jumps forward. It gets worse as the video tries to āright-sideā itself later, resulting in something completely unwatchable.
