Yes, I believe so.
Iām on a QNAP NAS, but run NextPVR on my Mac. NPVR will also run on Docker, Linuxā¦
Agh, that is technically possible, but against ScheduleDirectās policy.
what box are you using? My HDHomerun only gives 24 hours (I have a script that can pull it).
Does your OTA guide give season/episode information? Mine for German cable TV does not. So it is basically useless.
āTheyā do care, at least @sa2000 does as he is the one trying to put out all the fire. He can also not revert the business decision made above his pay grade. So canāt we.
Plex will probably not switch providers again any time soon. So we have to live what is given to us.
100 % agree.
Just as an example from my side:
There were two new shows/seasons recently aired in German television that I was really interested in: āBad Banksā and āDer Passā. Both had wrong data (Bad Banks was missing S/E information for the last half of the season, Der Pass had wrongly numbered episodes) and this was not fixed even when I reached out in advance.
My learning out of this: it can and will happen all of the time for new stuff, old stuff doesnāt matter.
Since I cannot make a decision with my wallet (lifetime) I make my point clear with my feet -> and walk away from the product.
Ha! You do use other apps then⦠Gotcha!
There is no need for sonarr, I have nextpvr
Well dodged, whateverā¦
You do your stuff how you wish to do them.

Plex will probab
Plex is the company and @sa2000 is a person. I was not referring to @sa2000, I was referring to Plex the company,
Plex the company appears to only have put 1 man (@sa2000) on this who is playing whac-a-mole as fast as he can.
So, no, they (The company) does not appear to care as per my previous comment.
care.

Ah no. There is an entire team. Heās just the person you see publicly.

Fair enough and thanks for answering that point as it has been asked many times and gone unanswered. How many people are there?
Regardless, itās been 7 months and nothing has actually improved from the paying user perspective. Every week there are faults:
- sometimes they are new, sometimes they are repeats
- sometimes they are fixed in time, sometimes they are not
Either way, this is not āfire and forgetā taking up a significant amount of users time to try and find/report the faults as they pop up (whac-a-mole).

Iām not on the team so I donāt know everyone involved, but there are many. Many of them are in the UK so getting the guide to be accurate is a priority. I donāt know all the details of the issues, but from what Iāve seen, it just seems like the originating data from broadcasters changes quite often so it is a game to keep up.

Yet Schedules Direct is almost prefect (using Gracenote) as Plex was when it was also using Gracenote.
How many people are there?
there is at least 60 folks listed as mods @ Posts - moderators - Plex Forum
what the ratio is of dev folks that are/are not on the list, versus the folks that are not directly involved with dev, is of course unknown and probably never will be directly released.
Not sure why you need a ratio, but you can see almost all the Plex staff at https://www.plex.tv/about/.

cheers, but my question was regarding those working on fixing the EPG only (not mods or devs).
The only apparent solution for this to be fixed is the current EPG supplier use Gracenote for their data. Lol
As this will more than likely not happen, itās going to be a long, long road. As an Australian we were left out of this new provider along some other countries and left with a payment solution as in IceTV. As it turns out, thanks Plex so much for doing that for us downunder.
Might have been a bit stressful at first but you did Australia and New Zealand a favour. Most of us have found suitable Free solutions in xml feeds.
So my advice, be proactive and look for alternatives.

Agreed - saves a lot of heartache and wasted time!
ā¦but what a terrible indictment for Plex?
Eventually theyāll be saying āwe are awesome because we have no complaintsā when in reality everyone has simply moved onto a more reliable EPG provider (and/or DVR).
Yes it is sad it has come to this, but who wants the heartache and the hassle. Plex Inc have locked themselves into an agreement with a substandard EPG provider, which under normal agreements, if a party is actively endeavoring a resolution, itās difficult to nullify. Considering the offering is somewhat frugality, but a known intended part of a pass subscription. It does not extend itās value to a subscriber in cases just like the forums discussions demonstrate. I understand the exasperation but itās time to use common sense, find a suitable solution and regain some normal brain functionality before your wife leaves. lol
