Sometime in the past few days the guide quit refreshing. The furthest out programming I have is Wednesday this week, 7/24.
When I click refresh on the guide is says “initializing” for a few minutes and then it just goes away and stops. The progress never climbs above 0% and then it just stops.
I am on Plex 1.16.0.1226. I know there is an update but my unraid docker has not updated yet so I’m stuck there. However, this version was working fine for months so I dont think its the version of Plex.
I ran the guide refresh with the verbose debug long running (attached).
My docker is set to plexpass, so I’m on 1.16.3.1402 and just noticed that my DVR and epg data is gone.
should I downgrade to 1.16.2? or should I downgrade to something less?
The problem is that Plex sent out a notice that the EPG would stop working unless we upgraded. So I upgraded only to find out that the upgrade broke the EPG.
Same here. Had upgraded to 1.16.0 ‘in order to keep guide working’. Wife reports today that no guide past Wed Jul 24. Upgrade to 1.16.2, Now seem to be stuck on “Refreshing guide data”.
How to get past this? I don’t even watch TV, but am stuck as family IT guy. Why can’t this ‘just work’?
yup. that’s what worked. I was hoping for a more elegant solution from Plex, but I ran out of time.
multiple reloads, etc, did not work.
I really want to complain with something like “When Plex sends out an email telling us to ‘upgrade to 16.2 or risk losing DVR’, they need to let us know if there are any bizarre things we need to do before the upgrade (e.g. delete the DVR) to avoid losing the very thing we upgraded in order to save”, but I wonder if they actually did, but I didn’t see it because I ignored everything after “upgrade available” . . . .
I understand that docker containers and plex software are different things. However, the only time I have been able to update Plex is when the docker container issues an update. When I update the docker, plex updates with it. Is there a way to update plex on its own? If so how?
So before an update, however that occurs, delete the DVR before it happens?
not sure what this means or how to do it. If the docker itself doesn’t have the newest version in the repository, how do you push a newer version to it?
The guide is refreshing, but VERY slowly, but it is moving (about 1% every minute or so). I forgot to delete the DVR before doing the update. Since it is working should I jsut let it go, and will it get more normal on the 2nd round, or do i really need to backup?
