DVR guide provided by PLEX is not ready for all countries

I’m a canadian and live in Quebec province. Today I update my server and notice one of my 4 channels did not mapped correctly so I delete my DVR. I tried to add it back, it found 4 channels but when I try to add Guide, it stuck at 0% forever. What a shame. So no DVR for me. I had many recordings for weeks to come! You should test your ? &?$% features before releasing. This kind of bug is unacceptable, unprofessional. You should bring back Gracenote support at least. You should notice that we do not all live in the united states

Gracenote support is there for the rest of the month. You upgraded your server to a beta release, and you’re screaming about a bug being unacceptable and unprofessional.

I suggest rolling your server back to the last stable version to try and get your DVR working unless you want to help troubleshoot what might be causing your issue.

Thanks for your help. Uncheck Plex Pass release allowed me to download version 1.16.0.126 which still support Gracenote. I was able to add back my previously working DVR. Sorry, but how could I know? I mean:
“We’re making major changes to how guide data is curated and delivered in Plex. Beginning on June 30, 2019 Plex will require Plex Media Server version 1.16.1 to maintain EPG data and overall Live TV & DVR functionality. Users that don’t upgrade by the above date will begin losing guide data starting July 1, 2019” as if they urged us to do it
We’re June 20. Only ten days left.

Yes, you’re right. I’ve seen some other confusion and freak-outs from the email sent earlier today, but hopefully people weren’t caught too off guard, as they mentioned this transition quite awhile ago through forum posts and through email announcements.

The email did make it seem like you needed to upgrade sooner than later without mentioning that they release that needed to be installed wasn’t exactly final.

Also, there are plenty of us who are testing the waters today and will hopefully be able to report any early issues to get things ready by the 30th.

Thanks for clarification. Sorry for being rude. Hopefully the new guide will be ready in time for everyone everywhere

@Tremat82 It would be extremely helpful if you could take a moment and fill out the form at the bottom of this post so we know exactly what to look for to resolve your issue.

Given all what people are finding I expect this transition to the new EPG to not be a smooth process. Heck in my case installing originally to I:\Plex Media Server - meant the latest installs/uninstalls don’t work, had to spend an hour nuking plex from registry before I could install a fresh copy in C:\Plex Media Server and get it to work cleanly.

REALLY REALLY glad I have a back method of downloading most of our shows direct from the broadcasters site as a backup to Plex - I expect we’ll be missing a bunch of show recordings for the next month or so.

I did. 2 times before July 1st. Contact me if you want. Plex Guide give me 3 correct channels out of 4.
