Plex DVR & Live TV with Roku client - can't stop closed captioning

Hi, starting at least two weeks ago, closed captions have appeared on any live TV or DVR recordings I play with my Roku client. They don’t appear in other clients. I updated server with plexpass channel today and it did not fix the issue. Subtitles are not turned on in the player. These also don’t look like Plex subtitles, they look like old school closed captioning.

I am running Plex server on Windows 10 pro. Recordings are made via HDHomerun connect and OTA antenna.

Anyone know how I can prevent this? It’s extra relevant right now because they are blocking scores during the Olympics!

Edit to add: Server Version 1.11.3.4803; but this problem has persisted through at least one server update

Have had this problem for months with Vizio TVs
Sometimes happens with downloaded shows as well
Quick fix for TV - do not allow Direct Play
Its not subtitles, its CC
because they are imbedded

I had to disable Roku Closed Captions in the settings. This needs to be configurable without having to leave the TV stream.

Thanks for the responses. You were both right, it was not subtitles it was CC. Disabled in Roku settings and they’re gone!
