Plex DVR makes a total mess of organizing DVR'd NFL games

I use Plex to DVR live NFL games and watch them later. Plex automatically puts them into my “TV Shows” category then proceeds to make a total mess of organizing them

This is the 2018 season which it puts into 2 folders on my disk, 2018 and 2019, but the apps all thing that each show is a season if its own. It makes browsing totally useless.

I’m not trying to look at an archive of old games - I’m literally using Plex to record games, then using the same tool to play them and it’s a total mess!

Arrghhh, help please!! Is this a failing of Plex? Is this fixable, or am I SOL?

LOL, I have the same issue. I don’t usually have more than 2 or 3 games recorded at a time because I delete them after viewing but it’s still ridiculous. I have to guess which one might be the last one and I’m usually wrong. :slight_smile:

Clearly this has fallen on deaf ears, but at least we can be comfortable in the knowledge that someone else shares our pain :slight_smile:

I know it would be a pain but have you tried manually re-naming the episodes?

Renaming would be pretty easy, but I have no idea what I would rename them to to make it not suck. Any idea?

YI don’t recall how the dvr sets the name now. Perhaps putting the team names first or a date and team name abbreviations.
