Plex DVR Missed recordings: EPG does not show episode as new, when it is

I have shows where some episodes that are new, are not shown as ‘NEW’ in the guide. Because of this, I’m missing some recordings.

Here are the details:

The Simpsons
Channel 712 (fox)
Day: tomorrow 12/9
Time: 8pm
Episode Title: 'Tis the 30th Season

I’m attaching a link to a folder that contains the EPG database, as well as the diagnostic data from the EPG Guide refresh

Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide.

Found an episode in the EPG for half hour starting at 4am GMT on 10th December.

and please could you also capture the logs 5 minutes into the episode and then 5 minutes after it completes

So that would be capturing logs at 8:05pm on 9th December and again at 8:35 pm on the 9th. This would be in additional to the logs that can be captured now

My Timezone is Pacific (US). I think the episode you found is the correct one.

So, … to do that… I would just zip up the ‘diagnostics’ folder at… say 8:35 pm? Would that have everything you need?

Ah… I see the process now… so I just enabled ‘debug’ and ‘verbose’ logging. I’ll capture the logs at 8:05 pm and 8:35 and attach them

No - that folder is for a specific issue with EPG Refresh failures - the last arose in November and was fixed November 14th/15th

It is the Download Plex Media Server Logs option through the web interface that is needed - to be done now, and at the two suggested times

I have just looked into the database again and now i can see that there should be a Premiere flag set which comes from the EPG data. The database does not appear to have that indicator set. I need to see a set of server logs when an EPG update is done so that i can pick the EPG parameters for your setup to try and see the raw EPG data. The EPG updates happen every 6 hours - so any logs that cover more than 6 hours would have the info i need

OK, I’m off for the evening, but tomorrow AM, I will force an EPG refresh, and upload the logs

Thank you - then we would need to find one episode that is not showing as New when it should - and i will periodically check the raw EPG data and see if the Premiere flag gets ever set as we get closer to the scheduled airing time
