Hi,
Have an issue where I am no longer getting Enhanced Program Guide info in the Program Guide - neither meta data or posters
This was working for several months before stopping
Enhanced Program Guide is checked/enabled
I am using an XMLTV file
I get only the data from the XMLTV file but no enhanced info
As mentioned this was all working well for a few months, and I have tried removing and re-adding the DVR, deleting cache files, and can’t seem to get it back
XMLTV program names and years are OK (I am mainly checking movies as before most of those got enhanced data and posters). If I record a movie, once it has completed recording and is moved into the movie folder it does then successfully get meta data, posters etc
I am in NZ if that makes a difference

Hi,
Tried on a second PC I had previously used for EPG comparison testing - this one setup with standard Plex EPG (GraceNote)
Same result as above - no enhanced program guide info (i.e meta data or posters)
Note: for all programmes i.e. both movies and episodes/shows (I notice another post about missing movie posters)
As per previous post this was previously working fine
Same version 1.12.3.4973, WIndows 10 Home 64-bit

On second (test) PC tried another test
- uninstalled Plex
- deleted Plex folder in program files (x86)
- deleted Plex folder in users - user - appdata - local
- deleted Plex ‘folder’ in registry - HKCU - software
- deleted cache & history in browser (firefox)
- download & installed latest plex
- setup dvr with only 1 channel
- refreshed guide again (i.e. 2nd time) from settings - live tv & dvr
- tried Edge browser as well
Still no joy
First movie - which Plex should be able to find enhanced info for - “Iron Man 3”

Hi Mark, we have identified the cause. We are hoping to resolve things on our side ASAP. I shall let you know when things are resolved and your can refresh your Program guide to get artwork. Apologies for this issue
Hi Mark, this issue should now be resolved on our side. Simply refreshing your program guide should fill in the missing artwork and metadata that the Enhanced Program Guide option handles.
Hi Chris, thanks. Better, but not sure it’s completely resolved. I have refreshed both my instances of Plex - my main XMLTV PC and the test Gracenote PC - around 5-10x between yesterday and now. It seems to be getting there but pretty slowly. Each time I get some more posters but certainly haven’t got them all yet, and I only have 8 channels enabled on each PC.
And it’s not consistent e.g. “Here Comes The Boom” has artwork on PC 2 but not on PC 1. Same for “Blood Diamond”. “Boy” and “Deliver Us From Evil” have artwork on PC 1 but not on PC 2. On PC 1 the first (i.e. oldest) movie in the program guide just got artwork/metadata at the last refresh today - but didn’t the previous 5-10 - “Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes”. Thanks. It eventually got there. It took about 4 days and numerous extra refreshes to iteratively update the program guide. And that for only 8 channels. Is that expected behavior? i.e. is there a limit on how many items can have enhanced info updated at a time either in the Plex software or on the websites it is getting the data from?

Hi Mark, we are still investigating intermittent timeouts on our side that has a ripple affect on enhancing metadata for EPG. Sorry for this inconvenience. We hope to have an update soon
