PMS version: 1.9.6.4385
I followed the directions at http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/linux.html for installing the kernel, headers, and firmware. Then I installed PMS. PMS found the two tuners and I was able to add them. The program guide works. Unfortunately that is where things stop working. Recording doesn’t work, watching LiveTV does not work either. Being a fresh brand new PMS install, I’d forgotten to fix permissions where I wanted PMS to write the recordings, quick easy fix.
Recordings
When I select a show to record an icon shows up in the upper right corner of the show in the program guide. After less than a minute the icon disappears. Nothing is ever shown in the TV Library. Checking the directory structure on the command line I see various folders created related to the recording, and only a zero byte file. For example a new program I tried this morning created this file

Live TV
Using Safari on my Mac, and the PMS web interface all I ever get is a spinning orange half circle in the center of the window, along with the other PMS controls. I do see a Plex transcoder process running when using top on the server while doing this.
I am at a loss as to where to go next. Hopefully someone has some suggestions.
