Hello, I have integrated Plex as a package on my Synology NAS. One thing has been giving me a headache for a long time.
Plex cannot access the DVR as soon as a NAT is interposed.
Basically, DVR access works when Plex is in the same network.
FritzBox ↔ Synology (Plex) - works fine
FritzBox ↔ Unifi ↔ Synology (Plex) does not work.
Now you might think that this is due to the firewall. But here I have to say that I let “EVERYTHING” through from the FritzBox. Irrespective of this, I can also access the FritzBox tuner from my computer, which is also in the Unifi network via VLC Player.
I would like to have a solution for this. My current workaround is as follows: I have wired the NAS in both the FritzBox and the Unifi network. So I have two LAN cables. I can do this temporarily, but my wife will kill me if I don’t remove the 10 metre cable promptly.
Attached is an error log from the log that appears when I try to start a stream if the LAN cable (FritzBox <> Synology) is not connected.
