Plex error "There's a problem playing this item" on 55" Samsung 4K TV

Just bought a brandnew Samsung UN55KU6290 and install PLEX from the app link. Everything seems fine and shows a beautiful PLEX media library. Upon clicking to play anything I got a terrible message saying “There’s a problem playing this item” on top right corner of TV. This happens on very file inclusing mp3 files. What strange to me is that I have another Samsung UN40J5500 which PLEX plays every file I throw at it. Do you have similar problem? How Can I fix this issue?

This TV gives me error “There’s a problem playing this item” everytime trying to play a file including mp3 file.

Both TVs are served by only 1 server (Version 1.3.3.3148) on Ubuntu 16.04 system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have the same problem on my 70" model UN70KU630DFXZA (2016). Oddly enough, my server can be accessed from the TV’s sources menu (where you select HDMI1,2 3… etc) and the media plays fine from there completely outside the app. Unfortunately navigation is a pain and the UI is very limited.
I tried on both my WD EX2 NAS and a Core i7 PC running Windows 7 and both got me the same error message in the app.

I figured out it was not the TV app. I got it to work by signing in with my Plex credentials on both the TV app and the server. I also whitelisted the TV’s IP on the server. Now it’s working flawlessly.
