Plex experience preview not showing in Apple TV TestFlight app But shows on my iPhone and iPad version, any idea why it doesn’t show up on my Apple TV version as I would love to try the new app on the tv as well
Same here, activated new ATV and no plex beta client available. Only official version 8.45
We have not released the app to the beta channel yet. So right now there are 3 channels on AppleTV:
- production / general release
- beta
- experience preview (info and instructions here)
This should change at some point in the future as we get closer to general release - meaning that it should move over to the beta channel prior to general release. The timing on this hasn’t been fully determined yet therefore I can’t tell you when that will happen. I will also note that the preview experience testflight only has so many slots and while we do try and clear inactive ones periodically I don’t know where we stand today. So if you try and sign up but can’t this is why.
I’m having an issue with the current Apple TV app where the app crashes if I delete the last episode of a series shown on the screen. Apparently, this is fixed in the experience preview version. I’ve been checking the experience preview flightest link nearly daily for a couple of months now… and it’s always full. Hopefully this will be released to the beta or regular channel soon. Or maybe some by some kind of magic, I’ll be able to join the experience preview channel soon.
