Plex failing to play 4k videos on Chromebook

Server Version#: 1.30.0.6486 (Windows 10 Pro)
Player Version#: 9.12.2.36964 (Lenovo Duet Chromebook, Android)

When trying to play 4k videos on this device I get the error “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.” I would expect the server to transcode it for the Chromebook which is what it does with non 4k videos. The same files play fine on other devices, including other Android phones and even the web player on the Chromebook device. I’ve attached server and player logs, the issue occurs at 11:16 for the file Welcome to Chippendales S01E04.
