Plex fails to play eac Codec (required Codec could not be found or installed)

Player Version#: 5.21.1

Do I need to install some kind of codes for this to work or should it work out of the box?

Is your sever internet connected and a recent version? Plex downloads the codecs as needed.

Yes, my server is behind a firewall. However no restrictions for plex though and yes, I am at the latest version. The player too, it stream through an av receiver which is atmos dd+ capa le and then outputs to Samsung TV (2-3 years old). This is the first time I cam across this codex.

Any chance Plex was down when you played and it couldn’t get the file? Have you tried to play again?
