PMS is running in Docker container on Ubuntu.
I’m trying to control my Plex players with the Alexa skill.
My Alexa finds the server and i can select my available players.
If I ask Alexa to play something, she finds the media and tells me she’s starting the playback. But nothing ever happens within the player. I tried all of my devices (Windows, Android TV, Webbrowser) and it’s the same for all devices.
I suspect the following: My ISP doesn’t allow port forwarding, so I had to connect to a rented VPS via WireGuard VPN to get access to a reachable public IP and to forward/expose the necessary ports for the PMS.
After I did that, the PMS settings show that my server is fully reachable from outside via that IP i gained from the VPN tunnel.
I can access my server by typing that IP in my browser and also via plex.tv/web, but Alexa somehow doesn’t work.
Could this be the cause of the problem and can someone help me getting this fixed?
