I have this same issue on my 2017 Nvidia Shield TV Pro. Was working fine, then auto updated to 8.6. Now, it crashes within about 2 seconds when viewing a movie’s details page, or a tv episode/show list.
I’m having the same issues with the new UI, I can get on the details pages on all my other devices but crashes on the shield when entering a movie or tv shows details page. Able to slightly workaround it with the menu option to resume etc
