I am currently using the latest version of the server (PMS) and player (Plex Google TV app on Chromecast 4). I have freshly installed PMS in a Docker container on an x86 Linux machine on my home network. Everything seems to be working fine except for the Plex Google TV app on Chromecast 4.
Here’s the issue I’m facing: Whenever I try to control or simply connect to the Chromecast Plex using my PC web Plex, localhost Plex, Android phone app, or iOS phone app, it either stops the current playback or shows me a music control screen with a stuck track. In some cases, it even starts playing two things at once. Then I have to force stop the app. The only way I can play anything on the Chromecast is by using the physical remote controller within the Plex Chromecast app directly.
All other players on my network work without any issues. I even tried installing Kodi on the Chromecast and connecting it to my PMS using PKC (Plex Kodi Connect), and the casting and remote control of the player works flawlessly. I have tried restarting, reinstalling, and even factory-resetting the Chromecast multiple times, but nothing seems to work. Thanks for any help.
