If it saying your Tv is ram poor, Go to Recents in menu and delete all instances and try turning the TV off at the power source
Thanks for your suggestions but I have tried them both and the app still crashed.
I’ve had the same happen before when using a PGS based subtitle combined with a high bitrate video.
Quickly looking into your log it seems you’re also using a PGS based subtitle, suggesting to me that something is flawed in the subtitle renderer. It works for a little while (5-10 minutes), then stops displaying properly (missing lines) and then minutes later the app fully crashes
Thanks for your post!
That’s right, I was using PGS subtitles when the app crashed.
Today I have played the same movie with subtitles disabled, and the app did not crash.
So yes apparently the subtitle feature is buggy.
I also encounter freezes/hangs on my LG E7 when enabling PGS subtitles on large files.
That said, when I enable them, the interface on the TV hangs/freezes and CPU usage on the server goes up to 100%.

Bit more investigation:-
With the large HDR file I’m experimenting with. With the TrueHD channel selected even selected an SRT subtitle file hangs the client. If I instead choose the 5.1 channel, then the SRT subtitles work fine.
Seems there’s some sort of conflict in there somewhere? TrueHD risks the issue with any subtitles. And PGS subtitles risk it too.
Transcoding is expected if your TV does not support TrueHD audio.
PGS subtitles should not trigger transcoding since v5.42.1:
Well with my HDR 2160p media, with a 5.1 audio channel, if I enable PGS subtitles the interface hangs. Typically the media continues playing, but the GUI (file and symbols) do not disappear. Sometimes the GUI does disappear but either way the remote has no action on Plex at all, as the client on the TV appears to hang. I have to turn the TV off to get Plex out of the movie.
Using an SRT file instead of PGS works fine.
How do we make sure bugs like this are on the Plex $hit list to fix?
