Plex for LG - Netcast - issue with subtitles

I’m having trouble when playing videos with subtitles (SRT) on my LG TV. CPU on server hits 100% as soon as I try plying the video on my tv with Plex App and video is stuttering all the time. Playing the video without subtitles has server CPU at 12% and video is playing normal.

Playing the same video with same subtitles on other devices such as iPad or android or Web runs smooth and server CPU is about 12%. Why do the subtitles cause such CPU use when playing on Plex for LG?

Can you take a look to see if PMS is transcoding the file.

Try with sub then try to again without.

The old Netcast TV’s do not support direct playing subtitles. They will always get burned in so the video will always transcode.

Transcoding is in progress when playing video with subtitles on LG tv.

Thanks for the help. I have a chromecast so the workaround will be to cast videos with subtitles from another device to chromecast.
