I am having the same issue as well. Really bumming me out.
Try downloading/updating to 1.35.1 manually - fixed it fir me.

plex.tv/download or scroll to bottom of page and, under Downloads, select Apps & Devices.
Manual update worked for me also. Looks like a bug in the auto-update feature with the previous version.
I’m having the same issue. Thanks for the suggestion of downloading it manually. As a workaround, the web version of the player seems to be stable.
