I’ve just taken delivery of a Sharp Aquos TV model 40BJ5K. There appears to be no support for the PLEX app. As I am a lifetime user this is little disappointing. Please let me know what I can do to get my PLEX media server playing on my TV - is there a TV stick that I could buy to support it, or could PLEX please support the TV in the future?
“Smart TVs” are not smart. They’re obsolete before you even buy them. Their components are the fastest to be rendered obsolete by the manufacturer, and updates are minimal in a best case scenario. Relying on a smart tv to provide a solid experience is ill-advised.
Look into Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Apple TV, Google Chrome Cast, Nvidia Shield, or hook a computer up to your TV.
