As some of you might have noticed, LG NetCast devices have been stuck on 2.6.9… until now! Our latest release fixes NetCast devices to bring them back in line with other devices. This release includes everything that NetCast missed in 2.7.5 and 2.7.11.
(Previously, NetCast had been held back because an update to a library that we use triggered a gnarly crash on NetCast devices. Message me if you’re interested in the details.)

Last week, our 2.10.8 release included support for secure connections (https) on Vizio TVs. That turned out to cause problems for some Vizio TVs in the wild, so we’ve changed it back. Sorry for the trouble!

March 3, 2017 - 2.13.3
We’ve release two fixes to address slow startup errors on Vizio devices. The fixes address the Vizio trouble while increasing our startup timeout for all devices.
FIXES:
- Increased application startup timeout to give slow starting devices / situations more time before displaying a startup failure screen.
- Startups which complete after we display a startup timeout error message will hide the startup timeout error message.

- webOS: Revert changes to playback initialization, in webOS 1 and 2, which may result in the inability to resume playback at a non-zero time position.
- webOS: Remove AVI direct play capabilities from webOS 1 and 2. webOS 3 continues to play AVI files with MPEG4 and MJPEG video codecs and AAC, MP3, and PCM audio codecs.
- webOS: Restrict HEVC (H.265) video codec to UHD capable displays.
- webOS: Prevent webOS 1 and 2 from direct streaming videos with HEVC (H.265) video codecs. These videos will transcode to H.264.
