Plex for Vizio is refusing local server connections

Server Version#: 1.32.5.7516 Linux/Centos
Player(Client) Version#: 5.69.1
Platform Version# 3.0.0-2335.0003

The Plex for Vizio app is refusing to connect to local plex server, but connects to plex online streaming no problem. Was working

  1. Entered Manual IP address of server
  2. Verified local DNS (Unbound)
  3. Reset App , ReLinked App
  4. Tested with Xbox Plex app that sits on same network switch (Works)
  5. Different Vizio TV with same client, platform version 3.0.0-2317.0004 (Works)
  6. No Vlan happening, simple flat network
  7. ZenArmor was not blocking connection

Its been working for close to two years with no changes other than the default app updates.

Not able to dump logs to the Plex Server… From the logs overlayed to the screen, I get three INFO entries.

  1. [Server Retry] Retrying Connection to Plex MS(notConnected)
  2. [Server] Testing connections to Plex MS
  3. [Server] Finished testing Plex MS. Result; Completed. Status:notConnected

I have identical player (client) version, and the reported platform version # that is failing for you as I also experience new failure.

Any idea how to roll back the Vizio firmware / platform version?

My server version is now on the most up to date at 1.32.6.7557 but whatever the previous version was (months old) also gave me this error as soon as the Vizio firmware / platform version updated.

I can’t get the Plex Vizio app to connect to my server as of October 5th either. Had been working fine for a long time. Have changed absolutely zero settings of anything. Just, poof - refusing to work. After a Vizio firmware update.

I have two Vizio TVs and Plex works fine on one and is broken on the other. They are different model TVs and both are fully updated.

I can confirm that connecting to a local manual server is broken on one of my Vizio TVs:
client: 5.69.1 and platform 3.0.0-2335.0003
–Also unable to connect when logged into Plex account or logged out–

On the other Vizio TV (newer TV by a year or two) it works fine (logged out, but also worked logged in):
client: 5.69.1 and platform 3.0.0-2317.0004

All settings are identical and I have tried both wired connections and wifi with same results. I am 99.9% sure this is an issue with the Plex app on the TV with platform 3.0.0-2335.0003.

I contacted Vizio and they said theres no way to roll back the firmware.

So now my P65QX-H1 received the 5.540.32.1-1 Update and the Plex is broken on it now as well. Vizio is refusing to accept that its their issue.
