I have seen the behavior now multiple times. I am downloading the next x episodes from a series and it works fine but then at some point the setting is thrown out of the window and all episodes are downloaded.
Maybe it has something to do with that all the episodes were watched and nothing was downloaded anymore and then a new episode was added on the server.

The behavior always happens after a new episode for the series is added on the server.
Afterwards “last x unseen” downloads for this series are no longer working correctly as he always wants to download episode 1 of these series instead of the new unwatched one.
I’m observing this behavior on Android with Linux PMS as well. Seems that some shows that are set to download next unwatched episode change to all episodes.
I have recently noticed the same behaviour.
Shows synced as next 3 unwatched and remove after refresh, were changed to download all. The change happened on the next application launch after updating the client.
