Plex for Windows isn't deinterlacing MPEG2

Server Version#: 1.16.4.1469
Player Version#: 1.0.0.792-d4adb056

I just tested a 1080i MPEG2 recording and I’m getting combing artifacts, extra-noticeable when pausing any quick movement. In the old PMP, you could manually enable deinterlacing, but of course that option is gone now. Until this morning, I had assumed deinterlacing was built into the new app as part of hardware acceleration.

This is something that can really affect OTA Live TV users. Turning off direct-play doesn’t seem like a good alternative.

The only reason I see myself using the new desktop player would be to watch live tv, if it can’t even deinterlace what’s the point when I can just use my web browser then. The trancode stream from firefox looks fine compared to the new desktop app

I have filed this as a bug.
