Plex for Windows - Not transcoding new content

Server Version#: 1.22.0.4163 (Ubuntu 20.04)
Player Version#: 1.29.1.1974-a65b3ef3 (Windows)

Any new high bitrate videos (4K bluray rips) that I add will not transcode on Plex for Windows or Mac. Transcoding is working fine as I can transcode the file properly on Plex for iOS and on the Web client. Selecting a different quality still plays the maximum quality version, as can be seen in the Tautulli screenshot.

After about 24 hours, the Windows Plex application starts displaying the selected quality (instead of always direct playing). I’m not sure what this delay is caused by. Rebooting either the server or the computer does not fix the issue.

That’s really curious. If you see it again quit Plex for Windows and grab Plex.log from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex\. We should see some unexpected behavior or find a culprit in those logs.
