Plex for Windows (Windows 11) application hangs (not responding)

Server Version#: Latest Beta
Player Version#: 1.33.0.2444-a220eae4

Hello, I am trying to use the Plex for Windows application on my Windows 11 that is currently installed on my Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 6 and it crashes, hangs, and it says not responding. Sometimes it happens when just opening the application, other times it happens when trying to play any video. This is on a brand new and clean Windows installation with all the latest updates and drivers.

That’s what you get when you play guinea pig.

Lol you’re right. Thank you for the info.

Hi Luigi,

I have had the same issue. When I looked at the Windows Event Viewer, Plex.exe didn’t play well with Kernelbase.dll.

I solved this by running Plex.exe in compatibility mode (Windows 8). Now Plex doesn’t hang or crash.
