Note: I have seen posts about Plex not being supported on Xbox 360 after ~2017, but feel possibly something can be done to make videos work, since audio files play well.
Xbox app 1.0.0.0 installs fine on Xbox download, launches and logs in to server fine. It plays music great, not as jazzy GUI as Android app, but fine, because it plays the music.
However, all 1080p videos hang/fail for some reason. 4k is out of scope, not necessary.
LiveTV and DVR work fine on Android app using HDHomerun PRIME and cablecard, but LiveTV (and perhaps those recordings, too) is out of scope for Xbox app, not necessary.
Videos are not encrypted or copy protected - they originate from Windows 8.1 Pro Windows Media Center recordings leveraging Ceton InfinitvETH and cablecard… all videos play fine using Xbox 360S Windows Media Center.
Bottom line… would appreciate any tips for transcoding / file post processing that could possibly be employed for successful video play experience, because it seems like app issue may be rooted in video conversion processing/glitch.
Alternatively, if Xbox app can be updated, a basic GUI, or anything that works would be great… version the app update 2.0.2.0.GUI. if you wish!
