Plex Freezes Nvidia Shield 2019 Pro when scanning library file

Since the new Nvidia shield experience 9 (android 11) came out when ever I scan the library for new videos (when new videos have been added) the shield freezes up for a few mins. After it unfreezes the media has been added but the shield is very laggy.

Doing an adb logcat I can see that low memory killer has killed all the background apps

The shield will remain laggy until plex has been forced closed

I suspect there’s a huge memory leak in plex causing the freeze and lag and triggering the low memory killer to kill all apps

Shield experience 9 upgrade, server dissapeared

Anyone from plex care to comment on this issue?

Everytime I scan libraries to update content it crashes my shield and low memory killer kills all background app

Please fix this bug

Ik looks like i’m experiencing the same… problems after scan.

Same behavior. External hdd for pms media and data, newest updates with all the nvidia and pms fixes.

I have pms on internal but the media is on an external drive.

If the hotfixes fix a core issue then they should ota it ASAP
