Plex get stuck with optimized version

Hello,

I got a really annoying issue with the plex. I have started to optimize few content as the original file could not be use with hardware acceleration and was unplayable. So far everything is cool.
I selected multiple of this elements and started an optimization.

But the issue is, after few days optimizing… one of them got an error. Something about [FFMPEG] - Failed setup for format dxva2_vld: hwaccel initialisation returned error. whatever… I’m not even sure that’s the error. That’s an issue for sure, but not the obnoxious behavior I’m facing.

No the issue is way dumber: the optimizing process just stop. It does not just ignore this file, it get stuck there. You could tell me “yeah dude, then remove it from the optimized media” and yeah, I could, but as it was launched as batch… It would remove all the other too. And I would literally lost days of optimizing stuff…

Seriously, this feature is the only one that made me took the plex pass, and it struggle on basic issue like that… This is not normal.

But if someone know how to fix this conversion, it would be nice too

I really hope I just miss something obvious here.

Thanks a lot.

Ooooooh I just find out this was mostly an UI bug and not a dumb feature. After disabling hardware acceleration the conversion was still stuck, so I restarted the Plex Server and now I got a nice “retry” button and it started the next one :o

I still have some issue but the main one disappear at least

Same problem here.
Nobody seems to care…

Did you start to restart plex server? I got this issue few time, and usually after a restart it get that some content can not be optimized, and from there I got a button to remove only the one content with issue.
Its some pain in the face to get it through but it work. I would off course rather have a working GUI but I guess dealing with external soft can be a bit hard sometime
