EDIT - if i stick to hdr video file playback everything is fine, plex/mpv/whatever doesn’t cause my display to turn black as it tries load hdr, but if i play a sdr in plex (with hdr turned on) that’s when i get the temporary black screen, and it happens again when i stop playing / close the sdr movie file.
is there a plex setting (or mpv setting, or windows setting) that will allow sdr movie files to play without the screen first turning black?
if i close plex and use a standalone player, including mpv, to play sdr movie files i don’t get a black screen, the sdr movie just plays (and looks great).
