I’m running PMS on Win10 with auto update set to the public channel. Ever since one of the 1.10.x versions, Plex has been unstable. I can only play one video after a reboot though once the video finishes, Plex only shows the progress as less than 25% complete. Marking the video as watched results in an error. Any attempt to play another video on any client including he browser results in an error.
I downgraded to Plex-Media-Server-1.9.3.4290-9798172d4 which initially helped but the problem quickly returned. If I kill the “Plex Media Server.exe” process and restart it things work normally but only for a short time. Is this a bug or some type of corruption with database? This is the first major problem I’ve had in a long time.
For what it’s worth, I am having similar issues with the 1.10 versions. Going into task manager and killing the Plex processes and restarting seems to work for a while. Likewise, first major problems after years of great performance. Seems to be a bug from my perspective, where these versions are just not as stable. Just my $0.02.
What works for me temporarily in Windows 10 is going in to Task Manager and killing all the Plex processes, then restarting the server. But unlike all versions up to 1.10.x, it soon crashes again.
