So I upgraded to the latest version 1.18.6.2368 when I noticed there was an update and ever since Plex just starts crashing on my windows 10 with a short period of time. I’ve restarted the machine, Started up plex sparately and shut down all other apps. Within a few minutes, Plex is down again. Have not had any issues in the 2 + years I’ve been running it.

Starting today, as soon as I start Plex in my Smart TV, the Plex media server process on my Windows 10 laptop crashes!
It only works without crashing when I stream to my android or other devices.
This is the first time it happens in the last years I’ve been using Plex.
Sounds like it’s very similar to your problem
Exact same issue here. Same version of Plex. Same Windows 10. I can recreate the issue at will (and with varying levels of anger).
Can we rollback the Plex update?
We all have an installation of the latest good build (2309) in
c:\users<user name>\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Updates\1.18.5.2309-f5213a238\packages
uninstallation of the current plex and installing 2309 fixes the problem for now

I just installed Plex yesterday and do not have this in my updates folder. How do I get the last working version?
I’ve been using Plex for a few years now so I have all the updates I applied locally and rolled back the current version that was bombing on windows 10. I’m not sure how to get a prior version installed. Possibly contact Plex support ?
