Plex hasn't updated since April

Hi. I know this topic has come up before, but nothing I have read has helped me to get Plex to update here. I never used to have a problem, but now any new items added to my Drobo media share are not appearing in any of my Plex enabled devices.

Also, probably related, since the latest iPhone Plex update one of my libraries has disappeared from Plex on my iPhone - Music videos. Yet bizarrely it is still displayed on my computer.

I am a newbie, not familiar with code and having problems trying to get to grips with something that ‘just worked’ no longer seems to refresh.

I also have some Sonos speakers and they use the same media library on my Drobo. That is updating regularly and without any issues, so I know the problem must be a Plex problem rather than a network or server issue.

Has anyone come across this or have any suggestions please?

There were a number of MacOS server updates from plex that I had to download from the website because the option to download in the server settings wasn’t working.

Hi there - many thanks for the help. I checked Plex and it was showing it needed a manual update so checked the Plex Drobo app as well and there was an auto update there as well. So, I updated in the Drobo app and refreshed the Plex screen.

Unfortunately it has still not refreshed the content and I am still seeing an old view of my server content on mac, iPhone and iPad. Am I missing something here? Has there been any fundamental change to the way Plex operates that is preventing regular content updates?

Sorry adamstewiegreen, I should have mentioned that when I checked for updates on the Plex site after updating the Drobo app, it now shows that it is up to date and using version 1.13.2.5154.

It is odd that I can sign in, I can see my movies, music, music videos and tv shows, but all from a few months ago. It is almost as if Plex can no longer link to the server for updates.

adamstewiegreen - thanks for the suggestion. I haven’t made any changes other than updating the Plex app on Drobo and now, a couple of days later it has finally refreshed itself and is showing new content. I have no idea if the update solved the problem, but at least it is working again! Thank you for the support!
