SO i was looking for others facing the same issue
my PC gets extremely hot while playing from plex when compared to VLC

So this guy came up with stats

I would be great if we could get some sort of response regarding this. I would prefer to use the Windows client but the CPU usage is way too high. I’m not sure why it’s happening on the Windows client and not the web version. I was under the impression the Windows client was basically the web version with a wrapper, but I could be completely wrong on that.
