Are you frequently adding and removing display devices from this computer?
(e.g. switching on an external TV device only after booting up the PC)

Shut down Plex HTPC (verify with the Task manager [CTRL+Shift+Esc] that no Plex HTPC processes are still running)
go to

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex HTPC

(copy the address into your clipboard, then click once on the address bar of the Windows file explorer, then paste [CTRL+V] the address and press Enter)
Empty out his folder.

Try again to start Plex HTPC.

I am only using one monitor for Plex HTPC.
After I disabled autoupdates, it stopped crashing.

I would rather not empty out the Plex HTPC folder because pinning libraries again and changing the settings again is a bother.

Well, if it continues to crash, I will do that. :slight_smile:

That’s a good hint!
Try emptying out only the subfolder

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex HTPC\cache\updates

then.

Unfortunately, with updates enabled and the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex HTPC\cache\updates
cleared Plex HTPC still crashed.

Disabling auto-updates again as a temporary fix.
