Today two separate installs of plex-htpc installed via snap just stopped working. On first box I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, no change. Tried uninstalling with --purge option, rebooting, reinstalling, no change. Did a fresh install of xubuntu 25.04 then reinstalled snap version of plex-htpc, seemed to work ok. Then another box stopped working. Installed plex-htpc via flatpak, uninstalled snap version of plex-htpc, it’s working ok so far. Has anyone else seen this behavior?
So I have an identical box that I take on vacations, and just to see what would happen, I dug it out, plugged it in and booted it. Plex-htpc started exactly once, and then would not run again. I should note that on reflection, this is exactly what happened on the first two boxes. So I uninstalled the snap and installed the flatpak version, works fine now.
