I’ve encountered an issue with Plex ignoring a show with my TV Show folder, even with a .plexmatch file in the directory to add context. The TV appears in the plex db, however, it will not appear in the scan when I move the folder into the TV Shows directory.
At first, I thought it was an issue with the content, however when I moved the show to my Movies folder to scan, they shows appeared individually.
What show is it?
How is it named?
Does the TMDB and TVDB have it listed as a movie or tv show?
It’s Insomniac with Dave Attell, I named the folder just that.
Plex has a listing for it. When I moved it into the Movies folder, Plex recognized it. I was able to look at the matched results and also see they have the show. For some reason it won’t register in the Shows directory.

File names that have the S01E01 format shouldn’t even show up in a movie library at all.
There is a Dave Attell’s Insomniac Tour: Uncensored! which is listed on TVDB as a movie.
Ah thanks, appending the season + ep to the title got them to appear. My mistake, I thought adding those only helps Plex retrieves the meta data. I didn’t know Plex would not display them entirely…thanks again.
