Plex app crashes immediately upon launch. Plex Preview app does as well. I’ve tried removing the apps, hard power off, reinstall apps and still no joy. Device is a 65" TCL Roku TV. Plex works fine on my other Roku devices, a 3 and a 4.
Could you DM me the serial number of the TCL Roku TV. We’ll have to forward this to Roku to obtain crash logs for the device.
On that note, we did experience this back in 2018 when various Roku’s were missing an expected Roku package. You could try installing that package manually to see if it corrects the issue. This is however, a shot in the dark.
There seem to be some devices that are missing a required package. Roku has not be able to determine why this has happened, however you can install a private channel to fix the issue (if it’s related to this). Try installed this private channel https://my.roku.com/account/add?channel=4BXEVK. You may see a warning, which you can disregard. This channel is supplied by Roku and will cause no harm. After installing this from the web, make sure to force an update.
