Plex in Docker - Hauppauge Not Finding Channels

Server Version#: 1.25.2.5319
Player Version#: Web App
Tuner Make/Model: Hauppauge WinTV-SoloHD model 01589 Freeview HD
Using XMLTV?: No
Channel number/Name: N/A

Hi all,

I’ve just deployed a Plex server in Docker on a Raspberry Pi 4. The host OS is Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS. I recently purchased the Hauppauge WinTV-SoloHD tuner and have an active Plex Pass Lifetime subscription.

I’m having an issue within Plex where no channels are found, I’ve tried changing USB ports and using the USB extender. I’ve also tried running Plex natively without using Docker at all with no change in my situation. My tuner is connected and detected properly, but I still get no channels. I am using Freeview and I am able to watch and pickup channels on my TV.

Are there any drivers I’m missing or anything else I can try?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I did take a look at their Ubuntu PPA, but it doesn’t look like it has ARM64 builds available

Update: I have now fixed this issue. Turns out I needed additional firmware in order for my device to be properly detected by the OS and Plex.

First, I downloaded and installed this RPi4 kernel from here:

Then I downloaded this firmware: Index of /linux/v4l-dvb/firmware/Si2168/Si2168-D60/6.0.1

After a reboot, everything was detected as normal and I can see all my channels.

Thanks all!
