i have setup Plex on my server running Ubuntu 20.04.4. it does not have a HWE Kernel.
i’ve recently installed a Hauppauge wintv-dualhd 1595 tuner.
i added the recommended ppa from the hauppauge website instructions and installed the linux mediatree.
when i go to live tv & dvr, plex recognizes the tuner. i input my country and zip code and am taken to the scan channels page.
i click on scan and it does it’s thing, then returns a no channels found error.
i connected my antenna and amplifier to my tv and it was able to find 64 channels.
then i also connected the antenna, amplifier, and 1595 to my windows laptop and installed the wintv v10 app. it found around the same amount of channels and i tried watching several channels and they all worked.
so, i know my antenna is good, it is in a good location (leds on the 1595 are green on most channels, some are yellow), and the 1595 is working.
i can’t figure out what i’m doing wrong here. i figured with as long as this combination has been around, it should work relatively easily.
when i run systemctl status i get these entries for the plex media server.
