Plex in my rv

So, I have this crazy idea that I’m trying to figure out how to do.
I have a trailer that we go camping in often, and to fall asleep I need to watch something to tire myself out enough. I have plex running beautifully at home. But when I’m gone, I don’t want to rip it out and bring it with me. I really want to have a “mirrored” copy of Plex in my trailer. Same computer setup, but when I get home it can just sync up either way. I have wifi where I park my trailer when I get home, so syncing wouldn’t be an issue as it stays there for ever, so yeah I understand it would be slow.
I’m just wondering if anyone thought of how to do this? I just think it would be awesome.
Basically I would need to replicate the “storage”, which is easy enough to do. I can use Allway Sync. My home would always be the master, I highly doubt I’d be using my wifi hotspot to download a TV series or movie. The hard part would be that I’d like to update the database on what I’ve watched. So if I watch S03E02 at the house, I can fire up the RV plex before I leave and it knows to start me on episode 03 when I get camping. Then when I get back home, it would start where I left off running off my house Plex.
Anyways, crazy idea but I’m sure there is a way…there is ALWAYS a way

How fast is the Wi-Fi at your away location. And what is your internet speed at home. If up to it you could just log in to your home system with your id.

Sure I could login, but then I’d run my data bill up and require data access. We camp at state parks, mostly no wifi or cell coverage, hence this idea.

I am interested if u get a solution.
I have PMS on Synology , Shield Pro, Drobo, NUC I3 and NUC i5 and a couple of PC’s.

But just the current one of those has all my watched shows.
I would like to be able to sync that Database with any of the others easily.
Currently I can copy the DB from the current server to the others.
It does mean resetting up the media locations (unless I am going from windows to windows.)

That is another option, to copy all of the dB files, but with the progress slides and such, it would take forever to copy the dbs.

You could always just get a smaller server that’s not a pain to take with you…that may honestly be simpler than fighting with state park cell reception or db syncs, etc. My entire setup fits in one of those rubbermaid shoebox containers for easy travel

Mine isnt too hard to move, I just dont want to

I pride myself on doing things the most complicated way because the challenge is fun to me. Its also cool to do stuff that is different from what others do too !

The WD My Passport Wireless Pro is suppose to be great in this type of situation (Camping/RV).

But the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

Isn’t there a Trakt.tv plugin for Plex? Can you use that to sync watched status between servers?

That might work.
Trakt guros - give us the insight. Connect 2 or 3 PMS to trakt and all sync?
