It is probably this:
Thanks for checking, main concern with the change is that the media in the folders shows as a list and there is no option, as was before, to change to grid view. The change is a big step back in my opinion as it makes maintaining large libraries with large number of folders in it much, much more inefficient.
Right, it hasn’t been changed. It works, but not very well. As you can see (or can’t see), all the names get cut off so it’s hard to find what you are looking for.
Previously, folder view would change back and forth between posters to fanart to lists so it wasn’t consistent. It was also difficult to show the proper view if you have media files along with other folders. Making everything a list keeps all the views consistent and legible.
Jut curious why you are managing while in folder view? Why can’t you di it in the regular grid view for movies?
I think this post explain my problem. Do you know when it will be repair?
plex do not consider it broken, so sadly (at least for now) it will not be fixed.
I’ve not noticed folder view changing back and forth between posters to fanart to lists, it had the grid view as long as grid view was set for the folder when in movie view mode.
Started using folder view when number of movies in the library kept growing, Plex didn’t match them always correctly and it was a pain in the neck to find the just added movie back if that happens, so I moved them to subfolders on the NAS, but want to keep them in 1 library in Plex.
So the use of folder view in my case is to limit the number of files in the grid view to ease correcting mismatched movies and that worked very well until the last update.
Regular view mode is always grid view for movies or collections.
Well, I hope they’ll add it again;
