I just got the HDHomeRun Flex 4K and set it up with Plex to do DVR. Haven’t made any recordings yet, just testing.
I noticed that on the iOS app, a live TV view starts to load and then closes immediately without playing any video. I’m also on the TestFlight (beta) program and have already submitted beta feedback.
In a web player, the video stream is transcoded always. The quality options do not include “direct.” I’m watching from my own home. Despite having plenty of CPU power available on the NAS, the live stream occasionally buffers (spinning orange ring). Is there any web player that can play the MPEG transport stream directly?
